Something borrowed...

My dear Grandparents are moving! I didn't think the day would ever come, but they are so excited to be making some BIG changes and are moving from the farm to a house in Elbing, 3 miles south. They have lived on the farm since 1956, so this is a really big change for them!
Everything has worked out perfectly in God's timing and we all surrounded with such peace that it can only be described as a "God-directed decision". We are so happy for them! My brother and his family plan to move to the farm so there are lots of changes going on in the Veer/Stucky/soon-to-be Klassen families!

My Grandparents have been sorting, boxing and giving away many of their "treasures" trying to decide what all will go on the auction and my mother has been bringing lots of them home with her! Isn't it crazy how one day we absolutely love something and the next we are giving it away? I laugh because that's the beauty of garage sales!

I was reading through the beatitudes today and thought they fit well in thinking about possessions and I just love the contrasts and where our true desire should be. Everything we have is simply "borrowed".

3"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

 5Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.

6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
      for they will be filled.

 7Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.

8Blessed are the pure in heart,
      for they will see God.

 9Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.

10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
