I am in the process of making this wall hanging for above our bed... it's so sweet!!! Simple and elegant... I decided to use stretched canvas over the edge instead of a frame and I think it will turn out just as adorable with a little color... maybe even a little corner flourish of some sort... now to decide which color - perhaps orange or green!
I am also designing a giant number "4" to go on top of my office desk. I chose the number 4 because it's the month and day we got married and also a cool number to work with as it has potential for a shelf! ah! I believe it will make a perfect addition and a modern twist to our wall decor.
We are celebrating (today!!) our 6 year and 4 month anniversary from our first date!! Garrett is always super sweet to remind me in little ways each month how much he loves me and he ALWAYS remembers our date... he is amazing. Spending our first holiday as newlyweds on the 4th was a blast! We are both looking forward to many-many more holidays as marrieds :)
Meanwhile, I have been soaking up the sun and passages on joy. I often read a mini-book that I love called Joy for a Woman's Soul and I am back to it!
Joy can be such a powerful thing that we often take for granted! It can change a gloomy day to a promising one, make your outlook on life more positive and bring hope to all those you encounter.
